Suneel Dwivedi says: Greetings from parichowk.com,
The Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will cease to be toll-free from Sep 30, the Uttar Pradesh Government Says....
The government, in a notification, has included the 21.5-km-long stretch into the toll road category. A car commuter will have to pay Rs.18 for the journey on the road. ....
What are your views?
|

AKG says: We all understand the importance of comuting and most commonly used are the roads which reduce the time period of travel if they are maintained properley. However it is imperitive to impose toll but it should be reasonale and should be charged only once a day.

Mahesh Sharma says: This is in reference to "Proposed toll tax on Noida-Greater Noida Express way".
I am resident of Greater Noida and working in Delhi. I have no other option but to use express way on regular basis to reach my office. I feel it is totally un-justified to impose toll tax on Greater Noida residents. It seems that private builders such as JP are literally using government machinery to exploit public. It is disgusting.
I fully disagree and critisize this move.
I request authorities to look into this matter and have some sympathy with their citizens. As an individual, we are contributing enough in growth of this country in terms of taxes.
Thanks

Dr Shaker says: Greater Noida is definitely a very good place to live, by and large native people are also good perhaps better than most of the modern cities. The main problem here is security as the module of the township is such that you donot have shops on roars so the roads look deserted and the mischief mongers take the advantage. Really if security concerns and dependable public transport esepecially after 4pm are seriously addressed to, no place in India can beat Greater Noida.

Gajanan Mali says:
I love my Greater Noida...What about you?
1. Delhi – cannot afford. 2. Gurgaon – distance from central Delhi and cost factor doesn’t allow. 3. Ghaziabad – old city with all chronic problems – question does not arise 4. Noida – near to Delhi, but it has all the good and bad of Delhi, besides cost factor. 4.
Faridabad-old city with all chronic problems so again cannot think of. 5. Greater Noida – Distance from central Delhi is a factor, but Great Indian Middle Class can afford small plotted house…in clean and green
environment.
After the assessment from the point of view of distance from central Delhi , cost, connectivity, supply of basic urban services, security, electricity , clean and green livable city , we zeroed on Greater Noida ….the better Noida….and our choice was right. We made our home in Greater Noida in March 2001….so almost after 9 years we feel that
it was a right choice babe. We feel that for good living most essential things are air quality, water quantity and quality, sewerage – drainage system, clean, green and pollution free environment, electricity, connectivity and security etc. In the initial years of development of Greater Noida connectivity and security were the prime concerns. On
commuting we had to spend a lot of time, money and energy….and as there was less number of houses occupied …thefts were a norm rather
than exception…But as the years have passed by, we feel more secure, connectivity has improved a lot…with Metro/LRT planned….and it would be as good as living in New Delhi !
Beautiful environs of City Park, for sports Greater Noida Stadium, for shopping and entertainment Ansal Plaza, We have modern well equipped Kailash Hospital to provide better health care…all reputed brands of schools are here. so you can provide good schooling to your
childern …besides UP Government ‘s one boys and one girls intermediate schools are going to start from 2010-11 academic year. Work on
multi-specialty hospital on the lines of AIIMS New Delhi is in full swing. Gautam Buddha University has started its Management course.
Good number of good educational institutions here are offering here
management and engineering, law, medical, etc courses. Sharda University is developing fast it’s integrated educational and medical
campus…
TOP MNCs like LG Electronics, Honda Ciel, Yamaha, New Holland Tractors to name a few are functional, so employment opportunities are in
abundance. For trade and commerce commercial complexes are mushrooming all over the city….As there is is huge farm lands near by you get milk and vegetables at cheaper rates...In a way Greater Noida is an
integrated township in a true way it has no competition from Chandigrah the first Planned city of India. Only thing is that me city
needs to re-placated in the new townships coming all over India. Old townships can also be re-developed keeping in mind the social-physical infrastructure of Greater Noida.
Greater Noida is in a sense it is Mini India as the people from all over the India have made home away from home…Bengalese, Malaylees,
Marathi’s etc are residing in large numbers. They make the city life lively by organizing socio-cultural events through out the year. All
the festivals are celebrated in Greater Noida in a spirited manner. India’s Greatest and best Ramleela directed by Shri Goswamy Sushil Ji Maharaj and presented by Shri Ram Leela Committee Greater Noida, now this is yearly affair. Birds of different kinds have also made their homes in Greater Noida…so when we are for morning walk , we can listen
to their tunes and voices…I love my Greater Noida..What about you?

Sanjay Chaturvedi says: ANOTHER TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY FOR NOIDA
In order to the set up another technical university in Noida, Uttar Pradesh government today tabled a bill to amend the UP Technical University Act 2000 in the Vidhan Sabha . The decision was much awaited one as the announcement for the same was made earlier last year.
As per the amendment bill, the existing UP Technical University, located in this city, has 589 colleges and institutes under it. To reduce this burden the bill proposes to amend the existing act to pave the way to set up another technical university in western Uttar Pradesh.
The bill also proposes to rename the Lucknow Technical University as Gautam Buddha University and the proposed one at Noida as Mahamaya Technical University.

Dr Shaker says: A greedy person, always intend to accumulate more and more wealth. Flouting all rules of humanity and ethics to fulfill his dreams and desires, he has no vision to differentiate between right and wrong. Lost morals of life, he never delivers the responsibilities which he has towards society, orphans, old aged parents, destitute, needy and others. He never delivered justice from his chair, pen and tongue. He always accumulates wealth and ignored the calls of Lord.
He always employs wrong methods and corrupt practices to realize the desires. With the passage of time he becomes stonehearted and forgets the responsibilities towards his neighbors and relatives. He I become so materialistic that he never spares time to sympathize with those who in grief and sorrow. He is always in hurry and has no time to offer condolences to others. He ignores the calls of soul and follows the self. The self becomes too strong and soul weak enough to be governed by desires and impulses His ears become deaf to right and his tongue no longer speak the truth. Hands commit sins and no good.
Finally the day will come when there was no escape and he will be put on trial in the court of Lord for his deeds. He would be asked questions which he can’t answer. I, by the orders of Lord, would be sent to hell.
Today most of the officers, contractors, businessman, doctors, engineers, students and all individuals of our society follow the path of self. It is time to wake up and save ourselves, return to the right path of justice, honesty and morality before it gets too late

There is no protection to the users from the vehicular movement on the road. To compound the problem, thorny coil with inadequate overhead clearance has been put up on the boundary wall. Road sign-boards had also been put up on this narrow path but were uprooted soon.
Urgent action is taken by concerned authority to provide ‘safe & proper’ foot-path so as to avoid any mishap to many users. It is to be noted that the boundary wall initially built excluded the greenbelt.

Happy Foundationa Day to Greater Noida Community!
Greater Noida would be entering 20th year...dream city...future city and now the goal is "Global City"...Says Greater Noida Authority. GNIDA has set higher goal for itself to achieve. I congratulate Ms Mayawati, Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh for her expanded vision for this region and also the Greater Noida Authority for keeping her dream projects like Gautam Budha University, Taj Internatioal Airport Hub, Metro Rail , Transport Hub, DMIC, Multi-speciality hospitals and colleges etc on fast track.
So far as pollution free , wide roads , open green spaces, are concern - there is no competetion from the Indian cities. Its "Owners pride, neighbours envy"!
However, Greater Noida still needs three polio drops electricity, connectivity and security. Hope Dr Maywati and her team will administer it.
Long live Greater Noioda !

I want to tell everyone that most of the dealers are actually hiding the right price and attaining maximum plots at a very low premium of about Rs.(2000-3000),They are actually making fool of every allottee...
Please do not get into such trap as they are making your fool.....

Dr. Sarjeet Singh Thakur says: Dear Authority,
I am interested to purchase a plot of 300 /500 Sq mtrs in Yamuna Expressway areas. I had approached property dealers in Noida Sector 18. According to them the currently premium is Rs.1475 to Rs.2600/- per sq meter. According to the dealers formula is :
300Sqm 500 Sqm
Initial allottee: 1 lac / 2 lac
Rate of land 4750 x 300= 30% 4750x500=30%
to be deposited to Authority
+ 2.5% Transfer charges to authority
36000 107000.00
Agent commission: 20,000/-
25,000/-
Premium: additional Rs.1475-2600/- depending upon the park facing/corner / near market ( to agent or allottee, don't know). 30% and 2.5% will go as white while others in cash.
YIED should fix the resale price of the plot so that genuine person can get it after paying little bit extra to authority and the original allottee (with interest).
Otherwise after spending more than 13- 15 lac (in case of 30% scheme), there will be fear in the mind about the dealing as there is no physical possession or guarantee of the plot because everything is on paper. Rest amount has to pay in 8 years which is very good for a working couple. That is very good scheme for working couple or those who is going to retire from services. WE must congratulate CM the iron lady for coming up such as wonderful idea to develop our Uttar Pradesh.

Dr Shaker says: "Security" is the issue in greater noida which needs to be addressed sooner the better otherwise people will loose faith in the area which is presently totally unsafe and "Chailta Hai" approach should be dispensed with. I can understand that managing greater noida from noida is not possible for higher officers of police, so a seperate SP post should be for greater noida with seperate officers down the stream. Now that criminals have thrown open challenge to the authorties by digging out a ATM of ICICI bank from a commercial belt with a perfect ease so common man in the sectors can very well feel how safe they are within the four walls of their homes in the ill secured sectors.

Sanjay Chaturvedi says: JYOTI BASU PASSED AWAY
Veteran Marxist leader and former West Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu died at the AMRI Hospital of multiple-organ failure at 11.47 a.m. on Sunday. He was 95.
"Jyoti Basu is no more," said party state secretary Biman Bose.
Basu was admitted to the hospital on January 1 with acute respiratory failure bordering on pneumonia. He was also undergoing treatment at the hospital for age-related ailments.
Born on July 8, 1914, Jyoti Kiran Basu's name was shortened by his father to Jyoti.
In 1996, Basu seemed all set to become the first Communist Prime Minister of India. However, the CPI (M) Politburo decided not to participate in the government, a decision that Basu later termed as a historic blunder.
Basu was elected to the Bengal Legislative Assembly in 1946, contesting the Railway constituency. He served as Leader of Opposition for a long time when Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy was the Chief Minister of West Bengal.
Basu's admirable eloquence both as an M.L.A and the Leader of Opposition drew the attention of Dr. B. C. Roy, who had a strong affection for this young leader though his stand was completely against the policies of the then State Government.
He led several agitations against the State Government and earned an enviable reputation as a politician, particularly among students and youth.
From June 21, 1977 to November 6, 2000, Basu served as the Chief Minister of West Bengal of various Left Front governments.
Basu resigned as Chief Minister of West Bengal in 2000 for health reasons, and was succeeded by fellow CPI (M) politician Buddhadeb Bhattacharya.
With the death of Jyoti Basu a stalwart of the generation of yesterday has passed. His absence will be felt not only by the Marxist community but the other political parties also.

Hope she continues to work for the upliftment of poor irrespective of caste and creed. The biggest contribution which will be remembered for long will be abolishing of castism from hindu society ,then and only then our country will prosper and lead the world. While travelling from Noida to Delhi, the train slows down to a crawl when it reaches Akshardham and speeds up only after crossing Yamuna Bank.
Sometimes inaccurate time is displayed on the display boards at stations and the ill-timed announcements which leads to utter chaos. Please inform Noida Metro Director.

Gaurav Jain says: Personally, I feel sad when I see the authority smashing ricksaws in Noida or in some other way disallowing the same. The reasons cited are probably that they congest traffic and they are slow etc.
But here are some of the many advantages:
1. Excellent mode of eco-friendly transport in our otherwise pollution chosked city. World over, countries are promoting bicycles and other eco-friendly transport, and here, we discourage it. Nearby, chandni chowk is no way less crowded now than it was with rickshaws (banned last year), but it has just become more inconvenient
2. They provide a good means of transport to residents in a place that lacks other means of transport (the metro and bus services are not enough to cover the entire city)
3. They also provide employment and livelihood to some very poor people.
So its good for the city (in more ways than it is harmful), the residents and the rickshaw pullers.
So please let them be.

Dr Shaker says: Beaware of spurious drugs, there is practically no regulator in Greater Noida,so it is always safe to buy medicines from the chemists who provide computerised bills, we can never be fully eliminating the possibility but this way we can definitely reduce the chances. The second most important issue the the sale of general catagory medicines from companies being sold at the same rates as labelled when their actual cost is about 30% of the labelled price, since most of the people are ignorant about the general grade medicines manufactured by almost all companies for which you won't find propaganda people in the form of representatives, ads etc that is why the medicines cost very less in comparision to the standard drugs, but the benefit is not forwarded to the people it is pocketted by the distributors and retailers mostly

Vinayak Ranshu says: GNIDA despite of being the center of critism by most of the people deserve to be complimented for the overall quality of standard they maintain in the devlopment of Greater Noida, this can be felt only comparing it with Noida/Gurgaon/Faridabad where roads are in mess, the origional planning for Greater Noida is being implimented by GNIDA very efficiently. This is based on experience of about three year's stay in Greater NOIDA,but at the same time there is still lot to be done especially in providing dependable transport from Noida to Greater Noida which is in mess most of the time, mostly mismanaged at 37 sector crossing in Noida esepically after 5 pm

Wg Cdr Subhash Bhutani says: Dear Sir!
I am a resident of Jalvayu Vihar, NOIDA and have noticed with grief that there are no 'Zebra markings' on all the pedestrian crossings opposite all the gates (Main and/OR Wicket gates) opening on the main roads. Due to heavy vehicular traffic on the roads, this leads to high risks/hazards, especially for the children and the old, when the pedestrians/ residents cross the roads.
May I request the Authorities that 'ZEBRA MARKINGS' be painted opposite all the main and wicket gates on the roads opposite both the sectors, like the 'ZEBRA MARKINGS' near Canara Bank, Sector-20.
THIS WILL NOT ONLY HELP THE OLD/CHILDREN to cross with peace BUT WILL ALSO REDUCE the accidents.
Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
Wg Cdr Subhash Bhutani,

M C Bhardwaj says: Garbage Disposal System in Noida,
I was just going thru the HT in Noida Times section about the coverage of Garbage Disposal System in Noida . Few Social workers like Cdr Nagpal, Mr J S Arora, JP Chopra and B Sahay have done a wonderful job under the banner of CEIS.I endorse their efforts to keep the Noida Green. I also request NA to make it mandatory of collecting the Garbage from the House holds of all the sectors by the CEIS affiliations only . This would not only make the noida green but also get rid of sector residents from the Dadagiri of the sweepers who are throwing the garbage any where and charging for the same as per their convenience. I understand if their nexus with the corrupt officials of noida authority ?. I need the concrete steps are required to be taken by the Noida Authority in this direction. Dr Shaker says: GNIDA has woken from deep slumber as it is now dismatling the ramps which has blocked the passage for draining out rainwater as the operation was started in delta 1 but has gone somewhat slow owing to the fact people again start laying them.Such is the stuborn approach of certain residents having corner plots that they design parks on the side land not even allowing neighbors to dump their construction material and not to speak of allowing ither neighrours to park their vehicles. Clear cut instructions need to be issues in general and corner plot holders in particulal that the side land on the corners is for general public use for parking etc by the people living there.

Swati Singh says: Planning to buy a house in NCR? Beware of private builders and developers claiming Metro connectivity to their project sites, many of which are nowhere near the approval stage, leave alone completion.
The fact is that Metro beyond Vaishali, Noida (Sector 32), Badarpur and Mundka are merely proposals.
The urban development ministry, which is the apex body that sanctions Metro corridors, has not received any formal proposal from the UP government to extend the Metro beyond Vaishali in Ghaziabad or the Yamuna Bank-Noida corridor beyond Sector 32.
So think before you act..

It was good move of the Noida authority to check mate the Auto Tempos and kept them in suspended animation for couple of weeks . It was very unfortunate that court was not convinced from the views of Noida authority how these auto tempo's have made the life miserable of noida residents on main stretches. Not only they are involved in the criminals activities but also moves on roads like the killers.

Dr Shaker says: Stange as it is really, the express way from noida to greater noida is free for all type of expressway.Once vehicles reach Mahamaya Chowk the drivers untie their seat belts and flex their muscle on the accelerators. You will never find any traffic or normal police in the way to atleast make their presence felt.So bring in Delhi traffic police with their spped monitors they can challan 99% of the vehicles at any time of the day/night. We the people only follow safety measures if they are forced on us.
