In conversation with NEA President Vipin Malhan

Noida: The newly-elected Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA) President Vipin Malhan has his vision for Noida.

What is the role and objective of NEA?
Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA) was established as an organization of entrepreneurs. It was set up with an objective to provide assistance and encouragement to entrepreneurs.

How has NEA plan to improve the Industrial scene in Noida?
Right now, registered membership is around 1065 whereas total number of entrepreneurs associated with NEA is 6000. All efforts will be made in consultation with all departments to stop the undue harassment of the entrepreneurs. We will also conduct routine inspection.
How has been your charge as the President of the NEA?
Serving NEA for 13 years has been a pleasing experience. Now, I have been chosen as the President of NEA. I will try my best to facilitate competence and to ensure that the industrial growth go up in the city.

What will be the focus of the NEA’s Executive Committees?
We wish to focus on the exchange of ideas through meetings, studying the underlying issues and connecting with people. Each individual member is passionate about his contribution in terms of improving, which begin with initiatives and run through a process of exchange of ideas.

What are the recent programmes undertaken by NEA?
We would be working on plans stated in our manifesto. The condition of sewerages, drains, roads and street lights is very poor in industrial sectors; hence we will pursue Noida Authority to reintroduce the provision of payment to contractors for sanitation, cleanliness should be made after clearance from sector representatives of NEA.

What according to you are the high points in favour of Noida?
Noida is full of potentials. The proximity to NCR is one of the reasons. I think if it is given ample opportunity then it will come up as one of the fast growing city in the country. It is growing with its raw talents. One of the high point of Noida is its specific location and abundant talents.

How is the Executive Committee expected to function?
The sub-committees and are expected to function independently in their area of expertise and are advised to report to the EC every month. From the response received in the first two meetings it can be presumed that the members are keenly interested in uplifting the quality of work they have undertaken.

Does NEA have any plans to work with the State government to develop entrepreneurship resource potential?

We are just a week old as a new team. With the progress of time, we will definitely extend our reach to the state level. As of now, we have decided to identify and meet professionals, working in different organizations, who are desirous of offering their expertise to the benefit of industry in the city.

What is most essential quality of being successful entrepreneur?
Entrepreneurial activities belong to various categories depending on the type of organization and creativity involved. To be an efficient entrepreneur, one should look into the possibilities of creative development inside the organization.

What is NEA plan for improving entrepreneurship eco-system in Noida?
We will always try to discuss improving entrepreneurship out by holding meetings and exchanging ideas to meet out the requirements and problems. We are making efforts to impart as many skills as possible. Entrepreneurial activities are substantially different depending on the type of organization and creativity involved

Do you have any message for Noidaites and Newzstreet?
I would like to see citizens of the city becoming more aware and achieve the highest possible goal in the life. As for Newzstreet, online news is still in its infant stage but I wish all the luck to Newzstreet team and its endeavors for covering events of the city.
