Sigh of relief for traders after UP govt lifts Sunday lockdown

Traders of UP heaved a sigh of relief on Friday when the state government finally announced to lift the lockdown on Sunday.

Welcoming the decision to lift the Sunday lockdown in UP, Sushil Kumar Jain, Convener, Confederation of All India Traders and President, Sector 18 Market Association Noida said, “We thank the Uttar Pradesh government for lifting the Sunday lockdown and giving full opportunities during the festival time to do business.”

He further said, “Since this Sunday is the festival of Rakhi and all the sisters celebrate it with their brothers and shop for gifts, sweets etc., it will give a significant impetus to the business in the market. So such news definitely creates an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the traders.”

He also talked about the misery that traders faced during lockdown as buyers were shifting to Delhi markets, resulting in losses for both traders as well as the government. “The traders will now get full opportunity to do business and the customer will also have the opportunity to make purchases on time even during their holidays.”
