NOIDA (14/10/2022): The morning after Karvachoth is a soft remembrance of the beautiful day gone by. A day which is beautiful in every which way.

The day that depicts the beauty of the traditions which India is so rich in .
The day that exhibits the beauty in the love of two people tied with a sacred thread.
The day which shows the beauty of willingly giving up food and water for the long life of spouse.
And the day shat brings forth the beauty in ‘Shringar’

For me however

The next morning after Karvachoth is even more beautiful

When there is still a faint ‘sindoor’ on the forehead of a woman constable adorning her uniform at duty.
When there is melodious sound of a few bangles still in the hands of the woman who takes over to give her presentation at work.

When the movement of the feet bring ‘chanak’ from the ‘Payal’ in the quiet class of a lecturer.
When the still bright red ‘mehendi’ hands go back to holding the weapons at the border.

The beauty is in the transformation in the Indian women who so well balance their lives and bring the right blend of tradition with modernization. From Laxmi to Durga from Sita to Kaali, the different forms of Devi in her personality every moment of her day.

Indian mythology has often talked about an avtar being adorned at the time of need. This avatar is till today very prominent in our lives.

कोमल हूँ कमजोर नहीं मैं
शक्ति का नाम ही नारी है
जग को जीवन देने वाली
मौत भी मुझसे हारी है

मैं नारी हूँ आज की
