Shri Saumya Srivastav, DCEO NOIDA has clarified the position on Noida Authority Striking Contract employees.
"As u all know there is an on going strike by contractual workers employed through outsourcing agencies.
As reported by media the case is not of a fight by the contractual workers to get their salaries thru bank accounts but the real contention of striking employees has been that authority should make payments directly in their accounts as it does in case of its regular employees.
Outsourced workers cannot be directly on payroll of authority as per rules and govt orders.
Authority has been trying its best to convince the contractual workers and its leaders that Kindly get your accounts open in banks and the authority would ensure that outsourcing agencies will transfer their salaries within three days. Almost 2000 employees have got opened their accounts in corporation bank and canara bank branches of sector -6.
Certain outside elements in their self interest have been influencing employees to continue the strike.
Authority has already written to govt. that if the employees are regularised authority has no objection. The process of regularisation has been going about at the govt level also.
We stand committed to get the salaries transferred thru outsourcing agencies in their accounts the moment the employees provide their account no. We are aware and concerned about the garbage and cleaning issues. Authority is extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused and is trying its level best to convince the employees to end their agitation. "
