Since PM Modi’s announcement of Nationwide lockdown amid Corona scare, the daily wage workers employed across Construction projects, taxi services, housekeeping and other informal sector are facing a dire situation as their work has been halted and therefore arranging their meals have become a life saving challenge for them.
Amid this dire situation amongst the daily wage workers, Navratan Foundation, a NGO working in many social development areas has taken the responsibility to feed the poor by distributing sufficient ration to them.
Col. Amitabh Amit from Navratan Foundations in association with Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sena distributed one packet of ration to 200 different families of Nithari which contains the following:
5 kg Atta
1 kg Rice
1/2 kg Dal
2 kg Potato
1/2 ltr Oil
Mirch
Garam masala
Haldi
Salt
Jira
One soapBar was added to the package to encourage them wash their hands regularly.
