Jyoti Shrivastava is now synomous with Odissi world over. We have watched her performances about 25 times and are incredibly filled with emotions and feelings for Lord Jagannath and Shri Krishna. When she is on the stage she transfers the music lovers from this world to the spiritual world. Jyoti Shrivastava’s dance renderings especially facial expressions are fabulous. We could experience the exchanges between her and the Lord Krishna that were being mirrored on her face. "
Jyoti Shrivastava has a natural talent and passion for music as well as for teaching. As her name goes she is spreading the knowledge of odissi culture & classical music and has proved to be a respectable guru , teacher, mentor and friend to all her pupils at Vaishali Kala Kendra , Noida – A renowned institution for teaching and promotion of classical music.
She deserves more national and international awards .
I hope soon she pens a book “Jyoti Shrivastava – Devotee of Lord Jagganatha , Odissi and India” based on her cultural and musical journey .
