The world sympathizes with Ukraine.
The world is angry with Taliban.
But the war continues..
As a common man, this is beyond our understanding and control. We fail to understand the sacrifice of the lives of innocent people in the wars by their masters or why they are in a situation, forced to flee in search of shelter, food and safety.
We are living in the times of catastrophic crisis.
Countries and citizens of the world stand in support of affected nations. The protests, processions are done to build a pressure . The efforts sometimes even result in end of war or cease fire and we hope it does.
But what happens to the battle..
The battle that an ordinary person fights and continues to fight even after being rescued.
He who has left his running business, a house that he called his home, a pet he dearly loved and sometimes even the family and has taken refuge in another country.
He is now a refugee.
His battle is never ending, while the past haunts him, the future terrorizes him. He entire life has come to point zero, having no idea where to start from in the alien land. He fails to understand why he is destined to face this ordeal.
There were many Indian students, in Ukraine. After the war broke out they were evacuated and brought back to India. The instructions by the embassy were clear “ carry one bag with only important and essential items”.
Suddenly everything changed for these students, they left all behind including their hopes and dreams of carrying a degree in the professional field they applied and took admission in. These students are happy to be back but the battle of future is once again to be fought by them and their families.
Readmission, rearranging of education funds, readjusting.
Their future is again with a question mark.
The people who flew from Afghanistan are once again seeking help from Government to adjust, rework and earn a decent living.
Anyone who has to leave his native place due to a external forced reason only knows what it is to leave behind. These wars not just devastate the infrastructure or the economy of a country but they also devastate the mental peace of the people, they ruin lives after lives even if they leave them alive.
All wars are evil and all victims deserve support.
It is for generations then before he calls a place his home because
The battle continues…
