Noida, 31 July 2022: The Sunshine Society, an NGO for children and senior citizens, celebrated the Annual “Student Teacher Felicitation Day” on Saturday, 30th July in Noida.
This society is instrumental in providing education to more than 500 children belonging to economically weaker households living in or near Noida. They do not just provide basic school education to children but also hold after-school classes and Excellence centers for bright students. At the Sector 50, community center in NOIDA, more than 150 students come every day for classes after school.
Holding the post of Secretary Vaishali Joshi Mehta appreciated Mul Chand Gupta for being generous in providing rooms at the community center to hold classes for the children.
On the occasion, Vice President Ramita Taneja addressed the gathering about the importance and need for a positive competitive spirit in students, setting an example for others and most importantly encouraging those students who with their hard work and dedication have done exceedingly well.
While an NGO Member Meena, closely observed the growth and improvement of each child and stated that it was rather difficult to raise the bar of criteria for awards each year with each child doing so well in academics.
At the event, Mul Chand Gupta, executive and life member of the NGO Sunshine Society also introduced the “Anchal puruskaar” on the occasion for a girl child who excels in academics. “Every child is special in his or her own way and thus should be well nurtured and taken care of,” he believed.
The program was well attended by Archana Chaturvedi, Meena, Ramita Taneja, Vaishali Joshi and very esteemed senior citizens, teachers, students, sponsors, parents and well-wishers where the students shared their experience being sunshine students.
