Local residents protested and allegedly also manhandled Noida Authority officials today while they were trying to scout for land for solid waste management plant.The officials had gone to Khodna-Khurd village in Greater Noida to explore alternative site for solid waste management plant, where they had to face the heat by local residents.
Solid waste management plant is becoming a major cause of worry in the region as to people’s protest at every shortlisted site is making it extremely difficult for the concerned authority to maintain cleanliness and dispose of large amount of waste.
