The trees which have been instructed to be cut down for creating a park in Sector 91 by Noida authority ,are all Eucalyptus trees.* Their plantation has long been restricted due its inherent nature of absorbing high levels of ground water , which are sometimes not good for neighbouring plantations . It also depletes the ground water levels, where ever planted
In case any thing other than Eucalyptus trees are being uprooted , *please let us know so that immediate flag can be raised .*
Had a quick discussions with Noida authority official’s and a clear understanding is given that *only Eucalyptus trees are being cut.* We dont have any reasons not to believe them or to stop them from doing so.
*Moreover , equal or more number of trees are being planned to be planted in next couple of weeks in which public participation would be encouraged by authority.*
In case we still have doubts , we can meet the authority officals and get more clarity on the same .
