I have read in newspapers about cutting of eucalyptus trees in noida to develop bio diversity park and also found through various social media posts about protest against cutting down 3000nos of eucalyptus trees by Noida Authority to develop bio diversity park.
I am surprised how few publicity hungry people can derail the best projects in city and give a weapon in the hands of officers to keep away themselves. The audacity of such people is that they brought children from Jhuggis to make a show of strength
Don’t they understand that eucalyptus trees was the bad planning of country to get timber to meet various needs of poor society in early 80s which found to be later on a huge curse on mother land and making farmers poor as water table in farm fields went down.
On the other hand bio diversity park is boon for flora and fauna of city. Noida city will be on tourism radar with such a huge bio diversity park.
I appeal to FONRWA, CONRWA, Industry Associations, Students Associations, Flat Associations to come forward to support Bio-Diversity project of Noida Authority having more than 100s type of plants and herbs for the benefit of citizens, children and senior citizens. With this project we shall be probably one among counted city of India having good source of peaceful and enriching park
