If everything goes well, people travelling between Noida and Greater Noida may receive a gift from the government.
The Aqua Line Metro is on the verge of getting started. The government has decided to inaugurate the Aqua Line Metro on December 25.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be inaugurating the new metro line.
Management has informed NMRC and both the centre and state governments about this. Yet no official announcements have been made.
Official sources have confirmed that the state government has sent a letter to the centre government for the appointment of Prime Minister for that day.
25 December is also the birthday of former Prime Minister, Late Atal Vihari Bajpayee, that’s why the government decided to inaugurate the metro line on this day.
The Aqua Line covers almost 30 kilometres and have 21 stations in between.
Earlier the cost of the project is decided to be 5500 crores but later NMRC reduced the cost to 4300 crores.
The trial process is in the last stage and would be given green signal in the first week of December after the inspection done by Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety.
The metro will bring more people to Greater Noida and will increase the mobility between the two cities.
