Noida, (1/12/2018) : In the month of November, the Noida police have done around some 23 encounters which means one encounter per day almost. From gangsters to robbers to snatchers Noida police have gunned down a dozen of criminals and almost a dozen of them were shot in legs.
Seeing this situation, the Samajwadi Party has demanded an inquiry into all of these encounters which took place in the recent past.
Noida, (1/12/2018) : On Friday local functionaries of Samajwadi Party held a press conference and said “that the police is regularly doing fake encounters to increase their numbers in the department”
Speaking on the recent case of the two scrap dealers, Irfan and Ashik, who were arrested from Rampur market in Dadri, and later were framed in a fake robbery case along with three other men.
The families of the arrested men alleged that the police also demanded Rs 1 lakh from them as a bribe to release the two men.
A relative of the two accused told that the duo are original residents of Sikandrabad and worked here as a scrap dealer at Sanjay Bhati’s shop. Chowki Incharge Vikas Charan had taken them with him on November 12 to clear the scrap from the chowki. But, later they were detained and were framed in a fake encounter.
However, the police denied the allegations and said that “they both were arrested with two other names Shahid and Javed after an encounter in Dadri.
The Samajwadi party said that the police illegally framing the two youths just to increase the numbers, while the crime rate has shown no reduction.
A complaint has been sent to the SSP office by the family, and SSP Ajay Pal Singh had assured to take action in this case if the allegations are substantiated.
