Three people were arrested in a raid on a house at Harola in Sector 5, Noida on Sunday.
Police arrested the accused red handed while allegedly betting via online platform.
Two of the accused were identified as Ajeet and Amarjeet. Both were the residents of Aheri village in Hardoi, UP. The third accused Manish is from Dawoodpur in Chhapra, Bihar.
Ranveer Singh Chauhan, SHO, sector 20 Police station said, "Acting on tip off, we raided the house where the men were caught making calls to the betters who switched off their phones after the raid. Around 23,000 in cash, 3 mobile phones and a diary with names of bookies were recovered from the spot".
"We are examining the circumstantial evidence to assert their role and criminal history",he added.
The accused were booked under section 13 of the Public Gambling Act.
