NOIDA (24/12/2023): Kailash Group of Hospitals, in association with organising partners , hosted an invigorating marathon on December 24th, fostering the vision of a healthier India through the “New Bharat Fit Bharat” initiative. 1000+ Participants of all age groups from South Delhi Runners group, NCR Runners group and many esteemed runner associations from across the country participated in the event and took a pledge together to work towards building a healthy lifestyle, a healthy community and hence a healthy and progressive nation.
This exceptional event commenced with a spirited Zumba and warm-up session showcasing how fitness and fun can be fused together to achieve health goals. Following this, a rejuvenating Yoga therapy session further emphasized the importance of holistic well-being.
The event witnessed an incredible display of enthusiasm as participants embarked on the marathon routes, with the Directors ceremoniously flagging off the 10km, 5km marathons and 3km and 1km walkathon. Directors, Dr Shrikant Sharma and Dr Pallavi Sharma urged people to not only work on physical fitness by eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly but also stressed on developing good mental fitness by ensuring adequate sleep, practicing pranayam and meditation. The youth also pledged the Moto of “Say No To Tobacco and other addictions” to create a healthy and crime free society.
The Guest of Honour Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Hon’ble MP Gautam Buddh Nagar graced the fitness event and awarded the Winners of the Marathon. Addressing the runners, he also emphasized on importance of taking out time for our health & cheered the Youth and Participants to collectively strive towards a healthier Nation. He stated that we the citizens of India have to make Health a people’s driven movement to support the Swasth Bharat-Viksit Bharat mantra of our visionary Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
