Noida : On the occasion of Dussehra, The Noida Authority announced 10 new developments in the city.
- Inter College in Hoshiyarpur: This will be Noida’s first Balika Inter College. The total land of area allotted for the college plot measures to 11000 sq. mtr. The basic requirements to run a college will be made available in next 10 days.
- Ease from traffic near Shahdara Drain: A parallel bridge will be constructed, near Shahdara Drain. This bridge will be of 6 lane and will be developed by Delhi Irrigation Department. Once the bridge is completed there will be ease in traffic from Film City to Shahdara Drain.
- T-Point at Model Town will be Signal Free: An underpass that is being constructed at the junction will open by October-end. The underpass near Model Town will prove to be a boon for commuters using the stretch for travelling to and from Ghaziabad and Delhi. It will make the T-point at Model Town signal-free. The underpass will benefit commuters crossing NH 24 while coming from Delhi and Ghaziabad and vice versa.
- City Bus services to start: 50 hi-tech air-conditioned CNG buses will be starting initially on 6 routes. Later another 50 non-air-conditioned buses will be added. The comprehensive plan is to run 392 buses on 27 routes in a phased manner.
- Nari Niketan (Women’s Institute): Noida will soon have its own Nari Niketan. Its design consists of three floors and a basement, in Sector-34, Noida. The institute aims to help homeless and widowed women, women in danger, unmarried mothers and women in crisis, young girls, who need a stable home to live in.
- Sector 95 Parking: Parking lot development near Dalit Prerna Sthal. The parking will be developed for over 200 vehicles.
- Cricket Stadium: A cricket stadium is being developed inside Noida Stadium. This will be Noida’s firt cricket stadium. The stadium will cater to over 25,000 spectators.
- Permanent One Way Development: The temporary one-way on Harola Marg & Udhyog Marg, will be made permanent. The dividers will be removed and the roads will be made wider on these routes.
- 1st Phase of Elevated Road to be opened for public, once completed: The first phase of the city’s maiden elevated road will be completed and thrown open to traffic before the festival of Diwali this month. About 2.50 kms of the total 6 kms will be opened for traffic, from Shopprix Mall (Sector 61) to Agrasen Bhawan.
- Cycle tracks to be broadened: The recently developed cycle tracks in Noida will be broadened. Cycle tracks have been developed along all arterial roads in the city and also along the expressway.
