On 8th January, AROH Foundation, a national level NGO, having presence in more than 18 states of India organized a rally to promote health and hygiene in the slums of Dallupura of East Delhi. 50 underprivileged children enrolled under Foundations’ education intervention “Padho & Badho” marched through the filthy streets and lanes of Dallupura, holding placards & raising loud slogans encouraging cleanliness in the community and created awareness within people about various life threatening diseases caused due to unhealthy lifestyle.
Founder of AROH Foundation, Dr Neelam Gupta, stated that AROH has been working for the development of children, youth & women through interventions on education, skill development, livelihood opportunities, Health supplements, non-scholastic opportunities, Holistic village development, Swachh Bharat Mission, Sustainability & Women empowerment etc. benefitting lakhs of people.
She also invoked people of all sects, categories and class to come together to fight against all anti-social rituals and make our planet a better place to live.
