In what could be claimed as a significant step in improving the quality of education in Government school, Noida Legislator Pankaj Singh has advocated measures for initiating regular and mandatory PTM in Government schools of the district.
Noida MLA Pankaj Singh today Spoke to B.N. Singh, District Magistrate, Gautam Budh Nagar, about introducing a mandatory Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) at regular intervals, in all government schools in Noida.
The young MLA from Noida has been pursuing reforms in Government schools in his constituency since long and has also initiated development and upgradation of various schools through CSR finds.
Speaking on significance of such meeting, MLA Panakj Singh said, " It will surely help in assessing the students’ progress at school and in finding solutions to his/her academic or behavioural problems. A face-to-face meeting between the teachers and parents of a student provides a platform for discussing the child’s academic progress and overall development. Somehow, this has been limited to private schools only".
He further added, "However, I firmly believe, it is every parent’s right to be well informed about their child’s development and accordingly provide direction to it. A regular interaction between parents and teachers will play an important role in this regard".
It is to be seen as to from when such measures are adopted and implemented in government schools of Noida.
