we have had a very positive meeting with the Chairman Noida Authority today. Each point contained in our representation was discussed in detail. Following notable decisions were taken: .
1. Sanitation (Safai jobs) shall be entrusted to five RWAs, on trial basis, at 75 percent of the present cost through contractors.
2. Capital cost (5 percent) and running /operational cost on composting machines can be met by RWAs out of Income from Community Centers. We pleaded that those sectors which do not have community centers, they should be reimbursed operational costs on electricity etc. and in this connection, we were told that decision may be taken later.
3. Effective date for obligation of households for segregation of garbage shall be applicable only after deployment of an agency, which shall also arrange required bins. . .. 4. Regarding user charge for garbage, Noida Authority has promised to provide detailed working to FONRWA,.
4. Menace of stray Dogs. Information provided by FONRWA (notification of Faridabad.municipal Authority and Uttrakhand High Court Order), NA shall study for due consideration.
