ECOLOGICAL DISASTER in Noida City Forest in Sector-91
The existing 75 acre City Forests in Noida Sector-91 will be replaced by an amphitheater , cemented ponds , ornamental plants , food stalls & other concrete structures!
60%-70% of the trees have already been felled. The number of trees felled is in the thousands to say the least.
This forest provides a very important green cover to surrounding areas, is a natural habitat for various species of wildlife, and the deforestation will seriously danger the ecosystem. A lot of Neelgai, peacocks , deer have been seen roaming around as their natural habitat has been DESTROYED!!
Noida has already witnessed felling of 8000 trees at Dalit Prerna Sthala ! Let’s not repeat another disaster .
We request your presence and support to join us for protest against further felling and to ensure replantation of adequate species of trees to maintain the forest cover as before.
Kerala has witnessed floods because of the illegal mining and tree felling in Western Ghats ! Let’s not make this another Kerala !
