Noida, (12/12/2018): Noida Metro’s Aqua Line is on the verge of getting inaugurated. On Tuesday, the inspection by the Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) started.
The inspection started with visits to 11 of the 21 stations starting from Sector 51 to Sector 144 station.
On the first day the CMRS team checked technical rooms, auxiliary sub-stations, platform clearances, fire detection and suppression system, along with the inspection of some various stations via monitor trolley
“The inspection included a check of all aspects significant to the commuter’s safety whether inside or outside the metro premises, including platform screen doors, entry/exit, sudden stoppages, etc”, an official said.
The incomplete parking facilities, under construction dividers and roads under the metro track and even the yet to complete parks were the main things which were noted by the CMRS team. Also the road under the metro stations of sectors 142, 143, 144, 145 and 146, are incomplete.
The CMRS teams will continue the inspection on Wednesday and Thursday of further stations.
Following this, a final report will be prepared on whether the commissioning of the Aqua Line is possible or not.q
