Noida, (12/12/2018): Noida Authority has started to issue the tenders to develop five Foot-Over-Bridges (FOB) across the city.
Two of them will be developed on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway (at sectors 128 and 145), while the other three will be built at sectors 52-71 crossing, Mamura junction, and DLF Mall’s multi-level parking facility.
SC Mishra, project engineer, Noida Authority, said, “it’s clearly mentioned in the contract that the FOB developers will have to provide lift facilities. Some contractors have developed the FOB’s without the lifts. We have served notices on them to install lifts. These contractors will be blacklisted and barred from taking part in quotation process if the lifts are not installed.”
Commuters face a lot of problems in using FOBs in the absence of elevators.
Earlier also the tender has been issued for the FOBs but no action has been taken afterwards.
All the FOBs will be developed on build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis. And the successful tenderer will develop the project and generate revenue through advertisements and later hand over the same to Noida Authority.
