Noida, 10th September, 2022: Noida Metro’s Aqua Line, which connects Sector 51 metro station to Greater Noida Depot station, would be expanded to Bodaki.

On Friday, Greater Noida Authority Board received a detailed project report (DPR) for the enlarged 2.6 kilometre long track.

According to the DPR, the 2.6 km long track would include two stations: Junpat and Bodaki, making it easy for thousands of daily commuters moving between Noida and Greater Noida from surrounding Dadri and Bodaki.

The Greater Noida Authority’s 127th Board meeting saw the presentation of the Bodaki Metro project. “The authority’s responsible departments have also studied it, and it will be delivered to Noida Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRC) shortly,” an official stated.

The NMRC will appoint a contractor to build and finish this elevated metro track. Furthermore, the casting yard for the projected metro project from Noida’s Sector 51 to Greater Noida’s Knowledge Park-5 has been located near Sector 2.

This has been communicated to the NMRC. In addition, the Authority has given the material to the Board.

The Greater Noida Authority has already begun planning to deal with future traffic congestion. The authority is putting together a comprehensive mobility plan for the entire city.

The final report, which will include ideas from traffic officers, will be submitted very shortly.
