Year 2021 NOIDA has won awards in 3 categories with respect to SWATCHTA SURVEKSHAN. It bagged the fourth position in the list of cleanest cities having a population between a 100,000 and a million in the annual cleanliness survey conducted by the Union ministry of housing and urban affairs (MoHUA), in coordination with the Quality Council of India, under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban
As compared to last few years, NOIDA has shown a huge jump with regard to cleanliness
The CEO, NOIDA Authority, Mrs Ritu Maheshwari ,ACEO Mr. Praveen Mishra along with their team have worked hard by taking personal interest in bringing NOIDA to the level it is today.
A function was organized by NA, where the seniors Thanked ,appreciated, applauded and encouraged all the stake holders who were instrumental in achieving this Herculean task.
Many social bodies like NOFAA, FONRWA, NEA etc were invited to be a part of the program. The highlight of the event was the respect and appreciation given to the worker class for their efforts. They were even rewarded with a cash price of Rs.1000 each.
While addressing the gathering, Mrs MAHESHWARI requested the citizens of NOIDA to come forward and help them make NOIDA no. 1. According to her the biggest challenge was Waste management, which still needs to be worked upon.
She also pointed out the challenges in keeping Noida clean since there are many new industries here and there is a lot of activity happening in the real estate sector, which produces construction waste.
Mr. Praveen Mishra took the humongous task of keeping the workers in high spirits throughout the year, especially when the entire nation was in fear of the corona virus
It that had was rightly pointed out by Rajeeva Singh President, NOFAA, that sustainability of the position is as important and crucial as a aiming for higher rank. Mr. Ranjan Tomar president, NOVRA gave his assurance of support to the authority in attaining no.1 position-in the coming year.
It was a wonderful program hosted by NA, giving applauds to those who truly deserved.
The program was followed by lunch for all the attendees.
