Noida, (14/12/2018): The Aqua Line Metro inspection came to an end.
The inspection is done by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) team and ended on a positive note. The final test includes tests for speed, emergency break test and the automatic protection system on the entire aqua line.
The CMRS, however, pointed out many incomplete works like under construction road, dividers, parking spaces and the manholes which will be completed by Noida Authority which requires them to work faster because of the proposed launch date of the Aqua Line metro.
The metro is proposed to be inaugurated on December 25 as the “Good Governance Day”.
On the final day, the CMRS tested the full rolling stock trial, ATP (automatic train protection0 run test and emergency breaking test along with speed test from sector 51 station to depot station.
An official said “the train ran up to a speed of 90 kmph and covered the 29.7 km track in 40 minutes.
A report will be shared with the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MHUA). The metro will be ready for running once the CMRS gives its report stating that the metro can be commissioned. Either the government can share a date or we can ourselves invite the government to inaugurate the line. We will wait for the report. PD Upadhyay, NMRC Executive Director, said.
