Mobile phones – our lifelines

By Ramita Taneja

I can’t imagine an hour of my day when I can put my phone aside and not check it. Umpteen times I have checked my will power and sadly have failed more than succeeded.

I have even tried putting it on silent mode so that the constant tone of notification does not make me reach out to the device but unfortunately it backfired, I checked the phone even more often now as I had the fear of missing out on the information. In medical terms : Nomophobia

Then I tried another trick to fool myself I stopped charging my phone as often and thought once discharged would have to wait till it refills minimum requirement. Alas ! before leaving my house I ensured I recharged it. By the way, I am always on wheels.

My dear friends, this is just a mobile phone, a device which has an alternate ,which can be lived without but what about our bodies? Something that we need in proper condition far more than the mobile phones for sure.

The human body which we put to use all day but when it comes to recharging we keep procrastinating
Kal se morning walk .. pakka !!
Kal se healthy food … pakka !!
Kal se cycling .. pakka !!
And on and on and on and that ‘kal’ does not come till the body gives up one fine day and we mourn saying
Oh ! Too young to die
without realizing that the external appearance does not ensure the perfect functioning of internal organs.

Remember.. mobiles… look and feel do not ensure clarity of camera or voice.

Now the next reason we give to ourselves is .. lack of time.
Arrey ! time kahan hai ?

Tarun from Dare2gear came up with solution for people who cribbed about lack of time or resources.

A cycle showroom Opened in the month of July 2020 by this Engineering professional, his showroom has all kinds of bicycles and safety gears. Tarun understood the need of people and their incapacity to follow their passion due to lack of time and thus started many different initiatives.
He took to group cycling ,where he got together like minded people.
These people now go tracking on bicycles.

He also started a group for weekend enthusiasts who loved to inhale the fresh air while the world slept. Trekking, fun mornings, group cycling tours are some of the most loved initiatives.

Tarun encourages people to be fit and healthy. He understood that not everyone would like to buy a cycle and upkeep it when it is be used on some occasions and thus came up with “rent your wings”.

Now many employees of corporates of Noida rent cycle on daily basis and quench their passion by riding to work and back. This way they save time, enjoy the ride and stay fit.

Tarun quit his satisfying job to follow his passion of Fit India. His brother Varun joins him in fulfilling the dream Fit India

Dare2Gear believes that when health, passion and willpower are put together, it is the deadliest combination.

We salute such younger lot who come up with brilliant ideas. My sincere recommendation “Try a morning of fun, laughter on wheels without pollution”.
