In a letter to the chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the FONRWA said that “very less” number of people in the age group of 18-45 are getting the Covid doses in the district.
“Currently there are 3000 vaccines being given to this age group per day. However, this number is very small as compared to the percentage of population in this age group,” it said.
Fonrwa urged the chief minister to increase the vaccine doses allotted per day to the 18-45 age group, saying that this is the only way to avoid a third way of Covid-19.
It also demanded an early second dose for senior citizens and suggested that non-covid and private hospitals can be engaged in vaccine dispensation.
