Noida, 21st October, 2022: On Wednesday, In Noida’s Hyde Park residential society of Sector- 78, residents of society had an altercation with security guards over their Apartment owners association’s elections.
During the fight, a female resident was seen pulling a female guard’s hair and slapping at least two other guards.
Minor injuries were sustained by two women. The police arrived and brought the situation under control. In an attempt to identify the accused, police are checking security camera footage from inside the society complex. Residents have also filed a complaint and arrested two security guards.
The disagreement was over the election to a Residential Welfare Association (RWA) post between two groups of residents and allegation that the Apartment Owners’ Association allegedly reelected itself. Residents were protesting outside the general body meeting venue when the security guards objected to their presence, resulting in the clash.
The situation allegedly escalated to a physical assault when security guards sided with one group and assaulted the opposing faction.
Some of the guards tried to warn the residents with sticks, but the fighting continued.
