Noida, 24th August, 2022: Residents of the Grand Omaxe society in Noida’s Sector 93B have submitted a complaint to the district magistrate, requesting that Shrikant Tyagi be barred from entering the district under the provisions of the UP Goondas Act.

Tyagi was arrested by the Noida police on August 9 for reportedly abusing and assaulting a woman over a dispute regarding encroachment in the society’s common space.

According to the complaint, “Goondaism and anti-social activities involving Shrikant Tyagi in the society” have regularly disrupted the peace and frightened people.

These occurrences include threats of causing grievous harm and aggressive behaviour toward administrative personnel and security on the matter of non-payment of dues, according to the report.

Tyagi engaged in a ‘Public display of Goondaism’ by employing bouncers while using common facilities in the society, as well as the August 5 incident in which Tyagi allegedly made “Casteist, abusive, and threatening remarks against a woman resident” in relation to planting hedges and encroaching in the society’s common area, among other things, added to the complaint.

The locals have requested that the district magistrate take note of the complaint and issue the required directions/orders in accordance with the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Control of Goondas Act, 1970.
